PARENT INFO - Allergies & Anaphylaxis
Anaphylaxis is the most severe form of allergic reaction and is potentially life threatening. In order to minimise the risk of this occurring at Glen Huon we:
- Obtain up to date medical information and develop health care plans.
- Train staff in the recognition and management of acute allergic reactions.
- Increase staff and student awareness.
- Provide age appropriate education to students and their peers.
- Implement practical strategies to reduce the risk of exposure to allergic triggers.
- Take appropriate precautions to minimise and reduce food allergen exposure whilst at school.
